Maybe I am just a sucker for the Newport because I own one and LOVE it but, I do think these make far better family boats than a Montauk. And no, this is not a sit down and drive Whaler. Even a 6'2" my father can stand at the console and steer. This boat is a super clean and OEM one owner 1978 Newport in Monterey Ca for $6500. Which considering it's location seems like a really good price.

Super Clean one Owner Newport in the Bay Area
Maybe I am just a sucker for the Newport because I own one and LOVE it but, I do think these make far better family boats than a Montauk. And no, this is not a sit down and drive Whaler.
